We are proud to be positioned among the “Visionaries” in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP). F-Secure is acknowledged in this report for the ninth time.
Gartner is updating the definition of an EPP/ Endpoint Protection Platform. In the report, “Redefining Endpoint Protection for 2017 and 2018”, Gartner says:
In 2013, a related market, endpoint threat detection and response, was born by the realization that it is impossible to prevent 100% of attacks. The resulting trend is for EPP solutions to incorporate some of the functionality from EDR solutions, and for EDR solutions to incorporate some of the prevention capabilities from EPP solutions as buyers want to purchase these capabilities in one, integrated package.
Having been in the Detection and Response market for a few years with our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Incident Response (IR) services, we have witnessed the rapid change in organizations’ needs to not only prevent cyber attacks but also to detect and respond to incidents. We believe our vision, innovativeness and customer focus have enabled this acknowledgement by Gartner.
Jyrki Rosenberg, Executive Vice President from the Corporate Security Business Unit at F-Secure says:
We listen to our customers, we design our products, our processes and solutions around our customer needs. We truly understand, how to protect our customers, their assets and their businesses. [.] We are really honored to be listed by Gartner in their 2018 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms as a Visionary company.
